Zach Smilovitz is a three-time Primetime Emmy-nominated and WGA Award-winning writer, producer, and performer who is currently co-writing a pilot for 20th Television Animation and recently co-wrote a feature film sold to Netflix Animation.
Previously, he was a Co-Creator, Executive Producer, and Head Writer for the Emmy, WGA, and Critics’ Choice Award-nominated “Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News”, which ran for three seasons on Paramount+ and Comedy Central. He also served as Supervising Producer, writer, and performer on “Our Cartoon President”, which ran for three seasons on Showtime and became their highest-rated scripted comedy.
His credits include “Problematic with Moshe Kasher” (Comedy Central), “Triumph’s Election Special” (Hulu), and “Late Show with David Letterman” (CBS).
He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Alysha Glenn, and their children, Izzy and David.
